Serving with grawood.

Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.

At Grawood, we believe the road map for missions was laid out by Jesus. In Acts 1:8 Jesus told the early followers "go and be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all of Judea and Samaria and the uttermost part of the earth".

We apply that model to the way we approach the mission field. Our Jerusalem is our local community and our city, where we should want our next door neighbors to be part of the family of Jesus. Our Judea is when we step out a little further and focus on serving and sharing the Gospel in our state. Our Samaria is when we go even further and we start going out into the country and other states to share the Gospel. Our uttermost parts is our foreign mission fields around the world.

Not only do we want to focus on our community, state, country and foreign fields we have service opportunities right here at the church: Preschool Ministry, Children's Ministry, Student Ministry, Adult Small Groups, Event Teams, Worship Team, First Impressions Team, and many more. Once you know the love and grace of Jesus Christ you can't help but want to share it and be part of an active faith and we want to help you do just that!

Our Pillow Ministry is a fun and rewarding way to give back. This ministry makes pillows for many hospitals, rehab facilities and nursing homes. The pillows are given to patients as they recover and provide an amazing reminder that someone loves, cares and is praying for them. The Pillow Ministry meets once a month as a group and sews and stuffs as many pillows as possible because the demand is high! Come join the fun!

Dinner with the Veterans

We love our country and our veterans. We have a team that regularly cooks, delivers, and serves meals at the local veterans home in Shreveport. They also stay and connect to the vets with conversation, activities and games. Our Veterans have sacrificed so much. We want to give back to them! For more information contact the church office.
